Break and Enter

Break And Enter Charges In Red Deer

Break and enter offences are listed in S. 348 of the Criminal Code. The most common break and enter offence is “break and enter and commit theft (S. 348(1)(b) C.C.). However, there are other “break and enter” offences which an individual can be charged with such as “break and enter and commit assault”, “break and enter and commit sexual assault”, “break and enter and commit mischief”, etc.

Frequently in the criminal justice system an individual is charged with a break and enter and committing an indictable offence in relation to a dwelling house. This is a very serious offence in that an individual convicted of this offence is liable to imprisonment for life. If you have been charged with any form of break and enter, it is essential to retain a lawyer experienced in defending these types of charges. Mr. Penny is such a lawyer. Call him immediately.
